Cwt-y-Bugail

Sourced from the home of natural slate in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Cwt-y-Bugail is a prestigious roofing slate.

The Cwt-y-Bugail is a blue grey slate with a smooth surface. It is widely considered to be the pinnacle in roof coverings, and has been used on many prestigious historical and heritage buildings.

Sizes produced range from 12" x 8" up to 20"x12", however production is very much determined by the size of block that is available, and this does vary. Generally production is geared towards 20"x 10" and smaller.
